Safe Arrival and the Sunport
We arrived safely in Albuquerque Sunday afternoon. The airport here is called the "Sunport" and was filled with lots of beautiful public art. We ate a quick lunch at Fuddruckers and I decided to eat like a local and order the "Fudd 66" burger. (Route 66 runs through town). Anyway, I found out that a little green chile goes a long way and had to scrap 2/3 of them of my burger! We are laughing at how opposite of an experience we are having here as compared to Seattle. It's so dry here that our allergies are active, we shock ourselves every time we touch a light switch, door knob, or each other AND we are constantly putting on lip balm and hand lotion. The high desert climate is giving us lots of sunshine for our bodies to produce vitamin D. Oliver has noticed how much different his shadow looks here in the sun. CD started his job at the VA today. More later.
